Steve Sullivan is a shareholder in the Denver law firm of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C., with a practice emphasizing oil and gas, mining, and other natural resources issues, including negotiation of surface use agreements covering all types of lands and minerals. Prior to his legal career he worked as a field geologist in Wyoming and a consultant for Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, the Energy Research and Development Administration and the National Academy of Sciences on fuel resource availability issues. From 1998 to 2008 Steve moonlighted as a board member and mayor of the Town of Foxfield and a member of the executive committee of the Denver Metro Mayors Caucus. He received his B.A. magna cum laude in geology from Princeton University, M.S. with honors in energy and natural resources from University of California at Berkeley, and J.D. with honors from University of Denver. When not with his daughters and grandsons Steve likes to return to his native Wyoming to spend time with friends and enjoy Wyoming’s magnificent open spaces.
