Mr. J. Kenneth Barbe II

BackBack to Annual Meeting Home

Ken Barbe’s parents ranch in central Wyoming. As a result of childhood experiences with Wyoming wind, including the sensation of snow and ground hay blowing down the collar of his shirt, Ken decided to pursue a career in law. Ken received a degree in finance with honor from the University of Wyoming in 1980 and graduated from the University of Wyoming Law School with honor in 1983. While in law school, Ken was a member of the Land and Water Law Review. Ken is a shareholder in the law firm of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C. in their Casper office. His practice is primarily transactional. Ken’s most recent experience with Wyoming wind is acting as local counsel to a wind developer. He played a key role in drafting and negotiating wind leases for the developer. Ken still lends a hand from time to time at the family ranch --- although he generally stays upwind of the hay grinder.
