Mr. Jacob Thomas Haseman

Jacob Thomas Haseman primarily represents oil and gas exploration and production companies and other individuals and/or entities in the energy industry. He represents clients in oil, gas and coal transactions, regulatory work in front of the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the preparation of title opinions, litigation surrounding oil and gas agreements and title issues, and various surface issues. He also has significant legal experience with general real property issues, water, coal, eminent domain, public lands, and federal environmental regulation, and he has a special interest in the ethical issues surrounding both the practice of law and the oil and gas industry. Prior to practicing in Sheridan, Mr. Haseman worked as an Honors Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division in Washington, D.C., focusing primarily on Native American trust litigation, western water issues, and issues surrounding the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA). He is a member of the Wyoming and Montana State Bars. Additionally, he is an active member of the Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen and Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, and is a former President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Wyoming State Bar. Mr. Haseman received a B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Wyoming, College of Law.
