Mr. Scott Lavern Turner

Scott L. Turner was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. After completing his undergraduate education at Indiana University in 1998, he worked as a business and information technology consultant with Accenture, LLP for seven years in locales throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Turner attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated in 2008. Following law school, Mr. Turner worked as a real estate attorney in Denver, focusing mainly on commercial transactions in Denver and Eagle Counties. Mr. Turner joined Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C. in 2010 as title and transactional attorney. He currently specializes in providing a range of oil and gas title and transactional services, including authoring title opinions covering fee, federal and state lands in the Rocky Mountain region, including the Niobrara and Bakken formations and other lands throughout Wyoming and Colorado. The majority of his practice consists of writing various division order, drilling and acquisition title opinions, conducting due diligence reviews for mineral, real estate and leasehold acquisitions, and negotiating and drafting necessary transactional and curative documents necessary for the production and sale of oil and gas interests in the Rocky Mountains.
