On March 9, Governor Freudenthal signed into law Senate Enrolled Act 51, better known as the new Wyoming Limited Liability Company Act. It is well-known that Wyoming was the first state to authorize the Limited Liability Company over 30 years ago. The new LLC Act represents a significant milestone in Wyoming`s LLC history by completely repealing Wyoming`s prior LLC Act and replacing it with a version of the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act. Despite the new act being based on a uniform law, the new LLC act contains a significant amount of 'Wyoming home cooking.'
