BackBack to Annual Meeting Home
Time: 1:30 PM - 4:45 PM
Presenters: Mr. Ben T. Railsback
Credits: 3

As a result of CSI and other forensic investigation television shows, juries have come to expect the use of sophisticated investigation techniques. In this seminar Mr. Railsback will discuss and demonstrate the latest investigative technology available to the accident reconstructionist. Topics covered will include collection of evidence at the accident scene and during vehicle inspection, photography and photogrammetric techniques, black box or crash data systems, the use of simulation, animation, and interactive animation. The seminar will also focus on the presentation of findings in the courtroom from both a technical perspective (how to effectively present digital data), and the best methods to present opinion testimony. Please come and learn how technology is changing accident investigation and the presentation of accident reconstruction findings in the courtroom.
