Attorneys participating in the Lawyer Referral Service have selected the practice areas in which they would like to receive referrals. They have not been certified by the Wyoming State Bar as specialists or experts in any area of law.

If you are unsure of the practice area you need, please contact Cathy Duncil at (307) 632-9061.

What is the Lawyer Referral Service?

The Lawyer Referral Service provides callers, or visitors to this website, with the names of attorneys who they can hire to help with a particular kind of legal matter. The online service is available 24/7. Callers may contact the coordinator between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Is there a fee for using the Lawyer Referral Service?

No. There is no charge for a referral from our service.

Will the lawyer charge a fee?

Yes. If you hire a lawyer, you will be expected to pay him or her for legal services. Some lawyers provide a free consultation. Be sure to ask about this when you make an appointment with the lawyer.

Do you have a list of lawyers that charge less or will accept payments?

No. The Lawyer Referral Service does not have any information on the fees that lawyers charge. You should ask the lawyer what he or she charges and whether payments will be accepted.

Can’t afford an attorney?

If you need help with a bankruptcy; guardianship of an adult or a child; non-profit group; will or power of attorney for deploying military members, you may be eligible for the Wyoming Volunteer Lawyers Program. Click here for more information and the application.

Do you know who “the best attorney in the state” is?

All of the members of the Lawyer Referral Service are licensed attorneys in Wyoming, maintain liability insurance and are in good standing with the Wyoming State Bar. We do not have any sort of rating system, nor do we have information on how many cases any lawyer has won or lost.
