Young Lawyers Give Back to Sheridan Community
CHEYENNE - The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to be hosting its inaugural Young Lawyers Conference at the Holiday Inn in Sheridan, Wyoming, April 19 – 20, 2012.
The conference is targeted to those attorneys who have practiced law for fewer than five years.
The young lawyers felt strongly about giving back to the community and helping an organization that deals directly with the legal profession. The organization that was chosen is Child Advocacy Services of the Big Horns. The young lawyers will specifically be helping the Family Visitation Program.
The Family Visitation Program provides children with the opportunity to have safe, conflict-free time with their parents and families through supervised visitation, custody exchanges and visitation negotiation. The majority of visitation clients are either Court ordered or referred by the court.
The visitation program is in need of supplies such as: drinking cups, batteries, diapers and wipes, hats and mittens of various sizes, scrapbooking supplies and any kind of games.
Young lawyers attending the conference are encouraged to bring these items as a donation to the visitation program. The collection and the distribution will be coordinated by the Wyoming State Bar Young Lawyers Section.
