Succession Planning for Lawyer: How to Value + Sell a Law Practice
April 20, 2022 12:00 PM-1:00 PM
The traditional lawyer story ends with keeling over a desk. But that’s not the only way to stop practicing law. If built and managed the right way, a law firm can be an asset, that another attorney (or another law firm) would want to acquire. The question is how to establish that value, in whatever time frame you have, before you’ll need or want to sell.
In this program, we’ll address best practices relating to maximizing law firm value at the point of a sale of the practice.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Ethical considerations
- Financial considerations
- Building turnkey systems
- Finding a buyer
- The sale process
