2024 Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference
September 11-13, 2024
Little America Hotel & Resort
2800 West Lincolnway
Cheyenne, WY 82009
Host: Anna M. Reeves Olson
Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join me at Little America Hotel & Resort in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for the Annual Meeting of the Wyoming State Bar. I am hopeful that dynamic educational programming and the desire to connect with friends and colleagues from around the state will make this year’s meeting a great experience. The Continuing Legal Education Committee, chaired by Kara Ellsbury, has put together a program of courses on a wide range of interesting topics. Back by popular demand is Sam Hodge from the Professional Education Group with the opening plenary on The Use of Artificial Intelligence. There will be breakout sessions in the areas of trial practice, legal writing, Wyoming’s Constitution, cybersecurity and social media, attorney wellness, and the Corporate Transparency Act, just to name a few. It will be possible to earn 19 hours of CLE credit, including 8 hours of ethics.
In addition to learning and earning CLE, several events will inform or simply allow you to socialize. Wednesday the annual Judicial Luncheon features a presentation by the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. You won’t want to miss Wednesday evening’s Welcome Reception at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Event Center. Join your fellow colleagues for some beverages and hors d’oeuvres and enjoy a little down-time at the end of the day. Thursday is the Access to Justice Luncheon where we will honor and recognize Bar members who have provided exceptional pro bono service. Thursday evening will feature the Annual Banquet with a keynote by Julia Longoria, the host and managing editor of the podcast More Perfect. Friday’s luncheon will include the annual business meeting emceed by incoming President, Erin Weisman.
I hope you will be able to attend the meeting in person and enjoy reconnecting with fellow Bar members whom you may not have seen for a while. For those who cannot attend the meeting in person, we will also offer all CLE programs virtually by Zoom.
I hope to see you in Cheyenne!
Anna M. Reeves Olson
President
