Member Bio

Thomas graduated with honor from the University of Wyoming College of Law. He then spent eight years as a federal prosecutor. In 2021, rather than submit to the President's vaccine mandate, Thomas left the Department of Justice. Between January and October of 2022, he was a part-time municipal prosecutor for the City of Cheyenne. Thomas is a native of Cheyenne. A trained classical musician, he performed with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra in Casper for several seasons before finishing law school. Based in Austin, Texas, the Bernhoft Law Firm handles civil and criminal tax defense, white-collar criminal defense, civil litigation, investment fraud recovery, and other cases. The firm's Cheyenne, Wyoming office maintains an active water law practice.
