GEE TAKES TOP SEAT OF WYOMING STATE BAR

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Alison O. Gee, an attorney from Gillette, Wyoming, has taken office as President of the Wyoming State Bar, succeeding P. Craig Silva of Casper, Wyoming.

“We are grateful to President Silva for his leadership and work strengthening relationships with our law school and courts,” said Executive Director Sharon Wilkinson.  “We look forward to our new leadership expanding these efforts while providing quality service to our attorneys and the public.”

Gee brings to the role seven years of experience on the Bar’s Board of Officers and Commissioners and serves on the Wyoming Supreme Court’s Board of Continuing Legal Education and as Wyoming’s Commissioner on the Uniform Law Commission. Her board service spans education, philanthropy, and energy – including Gillette College Board of Trustees, Wyoming Community Foundation, and Powder River Energy Corporation.

At the University of Wyoming, Gee competed on the rodeo team and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, while earning her BA. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama.

Gee practices with Yonkee & Toner, LLP, in Gillette.  Her legal practice includes representing school districts and hospitals across Wyoming, estate and business planning, property and mineral law, and probate. She also serves as a part-time municipal judge for the City of Gillette. She and her husband volunteer as youth coaches and mentors in their community.
