GLENDO ATTORNEY RECEIVES BAR’S PROFESSIONALISM AWARD

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Glendo attorney Wendy Curtis Palen is this year’s recipient of its Gerald R. Mason Professionalism Award. The award was presented last week during the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference, which took place in Casper, Wyoming.

Palen is the 15^th recipient of this annual award. The award was presented by Casper lawyer P. Craig Silva, then-President of the Wyoming State Bar.

The Professionalism Award is given to a Wyoming lawyer who represents the highest standards of ethics and dedication to the law but also recognizes someone who contributes their time and energy to making the Wyoming Bar and its lawyers the best people they can be.

“I have had the privilege of working with Wendy in her role as the National Criminal Justice Act panel representative in Wyoming,” said Silva. “Time and again, she willingly takes on some of our most challenging cases and works with our most difficult clients—always with grace, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. She approaches every responsibility with integrity, compassion, and remarkable dedication. Wendy truly exemplifies the highest ideals of our profession, and she is exceptionally deserving of this honor.”

Palen and her husband Eric practice out of Platte County with the Palen Law Office, LLC.  She graduated University Wyoming Law School in 2000. She worked in Cheyenne for five years for Patton and Davison doing bankruptcy and collections. The Palens opened their own office in Glendo in 2006. They have two daughters. One is a senior at the University of Wyoming, and the other is in the 5^th grade at Glendo Elementary School.  Palen served a three-year term on the Board of Law Examiners. She is also a part-time Magistrate Judge in Platte County.
