GREEN RIVER ATTORNEY RECOGNIZED FOR PRO BONO SERVICE

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Victoria Schofield, an attorney from Green River, Wyoming, has received a 2023 Pro Bono Award for Legal Services for Indigent Clients. Angie Dorsch, Executive Director of Equal Justice Wyoming, presented the award at last week’s Pro Bono Luncheon which was held in conjunction with the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference in Laramie.
The nomination for the award was also submitted by Dorsch.
Schofield has been involved in some of Wyoming’s earliest efforts to address barriers to access to justice. She has served as a Volunteer Reference Attorney (VRA) for 17 of the 19 monthly VRA sessions in Sweetwater County. In her nomination, Dorsch said that Equal Justice of Wyoming would not be able to maintain the VRA program in Sweetwater County if it were not for Schofield’s dedication.
