WEISMAN ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF WYOMING STATE BAR

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Erin E. Weisman, an attorney from Jackson, Wyoming, has been elected Vice President of the Bar.

The 2022/2023 Election of Officers was held according to Article II, Section 1 and Article VI of the Bylaws of the Wyoming State Bar. The results of the election were announced last week during the Bar’s Annual Business Meeting in Casper.

Weisman succeeds Teresa Thybo of Green River, Wyoming.

Weisman earned her law degree in 2000 from the University of Wyoming College of Law. Her undergraduate degree is from Emporia State University in Kansas where she majored in Sociology with a minor in Political Science.

In November 2018, Weisman was elected as the Teton County and Prosecuting Attorney. She is privileged to serve her community and has expanded her emphasis to also include juvenile matters, criminal cases, involuntary hospitalizations, and is an active team member of the Teton County Court Supervised Treatment Program.

Weisman is a member of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole, the National District Attorneys Association, and the Teton County Bar Association. She is also admitted to practice law in Montana. Erin is a graduate of Leadership Jackson Hole and is a regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole. Jackson is home and where Erin and her husband, Harvey, are raising three Wyomingites.

In her capacity as Vice President, Weisman will serve as a member-at-large of the Board of Commissioners and a member of the Executive Committee.
