CALL FOR COMMENTS – Revised Attorney Lien Statute
In February, the Board of Officers and Commissioners requested member feedback on a proposed revision to Wyoming’s attorney lien statute, W.S. § 29-9-102. Numerous helpful comments were received and reviewed by the ad hoc committee charged with reviewing the statute and proposing changes. The committee is comprised of Devon O’Connell, President-Elect; Weston Graham, Treasurer; J. Kenneth Barbe, Seventh Judicial District Commissioner; Erika Nash, Ninth Judicial District Commissioner; and Mark Gifford, Bar Counsel. Based upon comments received, the ad hoc committee has made further revisions to the statute. The Board of Officers and Commissioners is again inviting members to comment on the committee’s revised draft.
