FOUR ATTORNEYS RECOGNIZED FOR PRO BONO SERVICE

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Craig Abraham of Gillette, Mitch Damsky formerly of Gillette, Ryan Healy of Sheridan, and Kevin Moore of Rawlins have each received a 2025 Pro Bono Award for Legal Services. Judge Paul Phillips, Circuit Court judge in Gillette, presented the award on September 18, 2025, at the Access to Justice Luncheon, which was held in conjunction with the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference in Laramie.

The nomination for the award was submitted by Kelly Owen, an attorney in Thermopolis.

Abraham, Damsky, Healy and Moore were honored for their extraordinary commitment to serving underrepresented parties and their exceptional contributions to the Sixth Judicial District, which is made up of Campbell, Crook and Weston Counties. Judge Phillips recognized the attorneys’ willingness to volunteer their time and expertise to assist Wyoming’s Sixth Judicial District when it found itself short of Public Defenders.  Each attorney took on over 20 appointments. Without the assistance of volunteers, the Court may have had to appoint unwilling attorneys to these cases. These four attorneys worked diligently to help people and to uphold the fundamental rights secured by the U.S. Constitution.
