Jackson Attorney Receives Wyoming State Bar President’s Award
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Brian E. Hultman, an attorney from Jackson, is this year’s recipient of the President’s Award. The award was presented at this year’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference, which took place last week at Jackson Lake Lodge in Moran, Wyoming.
The award is reserved for a person or organization that has special meaning to the President of the Wyoming State Bar. This year’s President, Weston T. Graham of Sheridan, recognized Hultman.
“Because of Brian, I have given almost a decade of Bar service. I would not be the President of the Wyoming State Bar without Brian Hultman,” said Graham. “I am not giving Brian this award for the adversity he has faced throughout his life, although he has faced more adversity than anyone should ever have to bear. I am giving Brian this award for the person he is, the brilliant lawyer he is, the athlete he is, the leader he is, the father he is, the mentor he is to me, because of his tremendous service to the Bar, but most notably, the friend he is to me.”
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Hultman was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar in February of 1994. After two years in private practice as a criminal defense lawyer, he accepted a deputy prosecuting attorney position with the Teton County Attorney’s Office in 1996, where he is currently a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
Hultman’s past community contributions include serving on the Board of Directors for non-profits such as The Children’s Learning Center and Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding, as well as Co-Chairing the Survivor’s Lap Committee for the Teton County Relay for Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society. He served a three-year term as the Wyoming State Bar’s Ninth Judicial District Commissioner, a one-year term as the Vice President of the Wyoming State Bar, a one-year term as President-Elect and served as President of the Wyoming State Bar from September 2010 to September 2011.
Hultman is an avid biker, climber and busy father of three children. He has devoted his legal career to serving the public and his community. He seeks justice in the courtroom every day. Hultman is a class act lawyer and an amazing colleague for those who have the honor to work alongside him over the years.
