CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Nimsy Garcia, an attorney from Jackson, Wyoming, has received a 2023 Pro Bono Award for Community Service. Cathy Duncil, Pro Bono Coordinator for the Wyoming State Bar, presented the award at last week’s Pro Bono Luncheon which was held in conjunction with the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference in Laramie.
The nomination for the award was submitted by Mohit Agarwal, First Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Reserve.
Garcia was recognized for her commitment and dedication to providing outstanding pro bono immigration services throughout the state in various legal clinics and workshops. Duncil accepted the award on behalf of Garcia due to her being with her military unit in Florida. In the nomination, LT Agarwal described the work of several local and national non-profits that Garcia volunteers her time and knowledge.
