MADDEN ELECTED CHAIR OF WYOMING STATE BAR’S YOUNG LAWYER SECTION

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Emily S. Madden, an attorney from Jackson, Wyoming, has been elected to serve as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section. She will serve for one year.

Madden succeeds Ben Rose of Laramie, Wyoming.

Emily S. Madden is a second-year associate at The Spence Law Firm where she practices personal injury law and focuses on wrongful death, medical malpractice, and civil rights cases. Emily graduated second in her class from the University of Wyoming College of Law where she also served as the Editor-in-Chief to the Wyoming Law Review and was awarded the Brimmer Scholarship. Following law school and prior to joining The Spence Law Firm, Emily clerked for the Honorable Kelly H. Rankin, Chief Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. In addition to being the Chair of the Young Lawyers Section, Emily serves on the Civil Pattern Jury Instruction Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Wyoming State Bar. Emily is also a Board Member of Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association and the Teton County Bar Association. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and teaching legal writing at the University of Wyoming College of Law.

In her capacity as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section, Madden will serve as an Ex-Officio member of the Bar’s Board of Officers & Commissioners.
