This CLE will focus on interactions with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office relating to trademark applications. Topics include: common procedural reasons for refusals to register, common substantive reasons for refusals to register, strategies for responding to Office Actions, and ongoing maintenance of trademark registrations.
Faculty
Lee Dickinson is Of Counsel with Hathaway & Kunz, P.C. in Cheyenne. He practices transactional law, with a focus on franchising, intellectual property, contract negotiation/drafting, corporate governance, and retail regulatory matters. Prior to joining Hathaway & Kunz, Lee was Senior Counsel at Dollar General Corporation, a publicly-traded Fortune 200 retailer with over 12,000 locations in the U.S. Lee also has taught at Vanderbilt University Law School and the University of Wyoming College of Law.
