NEW YORK ATTORNEY RECEIVES BAR’S PRO BONO AWARD FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Michael Ross, an attorney licensed in Wyoming from Bloomingburg, New York, has received the 2021 Pro Bono Award for Community Service. Angie Dorsch, Equal Justice Wyoming Executive Director, presented the award today at an Awards Luncheon taking place in conjunction with the Wyoming State Bar Virtual Annual Meeting.
The nomination for the award was also submitted by Dorsch.
Ross has made significant contributions to and on behalf of the Wyoming legal community in several different ways and was recognized for his volunteer work with the virtual platform of “Wyoming Free Legal Answers.” Ross signed up for Wyoming Free Legal Answers in December 2020 and has answered more questions and provided more individuals with pro bono legal advice and assistance than any other volunteer on the site. Dorsch admits to never meeting Ross in person, but states, “I’m impressed by his level of commitment to providing these important services. These services have been especially important while our in-person pro bono events have been canceled during the pandemic.”
