O’Connell Takes Top Seat of Wyoming State Bar
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Devon O’Connell, an attorney from Laramie, Wyoming, has been elected President of its organization.
The 2015/2016 Election of Officers was held according to the Bylaws of the Wyoming State Bar. The results of the election were announced last week in Jackson, Wyoming, at the Bar’s Annual Business Meeting.
O’Connell succeeds Bradley D. Bonner of Cody, Wyoming.
O’Connell is a member of Pence and MacMillan, LLC in Laramie. She graduated with Honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2000. She previously served a three-year term as a State Bar Commissioner from the Second Judicial District (2010 – 2013), a one-year term (2013 – 2014) as Vice President and most recently served a one-year term as the President-Elect of the organization. O’Connell has served on the Board of Professional Responsibility, the Permanent Civil Rules Committee, the Fee Dispute Committee and is the Vice Chair of the Board of Continuing Legal Education. She recently served as President of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. She is active in a number of community and civic organizations such as the University of Wyoming Art Museum Board, the Laramie Community Foundation and the UW Law School Advisory Board. O’Connell is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Wyoming. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, civil practice, family law, and personal injury.
