SPENCE LAW FIRM RECOGNIZED WITH CHAMPION OF JUSTICE AWARD
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that The Spence Law Firm, LLC has received the 2025 Champion of Justice Award. Wyoming State Bar Program Coordinator, Kim Robért, presented the award on September 18, 2025, at the Pro Bono Luncheon which was held in conjunction with the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference in Laramie.
The nomination for the award was submitted by Casper lawyer Emily Madden of The Spence Law Firm.
The criteria for the Champion of Justice Award are legal advocacy, impactful legal initiatives, leadership and mentorship, community engagement and enduring impact. These criteria aim to recognize individuals or firms who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and impact in advancing justice.
The Spence Law Firm was recognized for its commitment and dedication to providing over 74 hours of pro bono guidance at the Equal Justice Wyoming Volunteer Attorney Reference Desk, providing over 350 volunteer hours to the Court Navigator Pilot Program, and participating in the Lawyers & Advocates for Wyoming organization, which provides representation without charge to people in need.
Spence attorneys also volunteer their time and talents through involvement in organizations such as the Wyoming State Bar and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association and service on numerous committees, boards and working groups. They are committed to defending the Rule of Law and an independent judiciary as well as engaging in legislative and lobbying efforts. In addition, they provide expertise on attorney education and wellness and are engaged in mentoring and educating future generations of Wyoming lawyers.
