Lawyers who receive emails about a complaint filed against their business may have a problem—but it’s not because of an angry client.
The Modest Means Program (MMP) provides low-cost legal assistance to individuals who do not qualify for free legal services, but cannot afford the expertise of attorneys at the standard rate. Attorneys participating in the program agree to assist Modest Means Program clients for no more than $75 an hour and no more than a $500 retainer (if necessary).

Governor Matt Mead has appointed Tori R. A. Kricken to be District Court Judge for the Second Judicial District in Albany County. Kricken fills the vacancy occurring with Judge Jeffrey Donnell’s retirement effective January 2, 2017.
Governor Matt Mead has selected Paul Phillips as Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District in Campbell County. Phillips fills the vacancy created by Judge Terrill Tharp’s retirement effective January 1, 2017.

The Wyoming State Bar today released the results of this year’s Judicial Advisory Poll. The Bar, in cooperation with the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center at the University of Wyoming, conducts this poll not only to obtain attorneys’ feedback about judges’ performance, but also to learn whether or not attorneys think those judges standing for retention should remain in office.
